  • Why can't I login after I create my membership?

    There are two possibilities if you know that you have entered your initial information correctly. E-mail support@DVDtoRENT.com if you continue to have problems.

    EMAIL VALIDATION: After signing up for a membership on our web site, you should receive an email from us with " [DVDtoRENT] Please Verify Your Account" in the subject line. Within the text of the email you will be asked to click on a link to activate your new account. Once you have clicked on the link, you should be able to login to the website and begin reserving titles for rent or purchase.

    USERNAME/PASSWORD INCORRECT: The username and/or password you are trying to log in with does not match the username and/or password you initially entered when signing up for a membership. You can request this information by clicking on the "I Forgot My Password" link directly below the Membership Login section. DVDtoRENT will send the information to your registered email.

    Why isn't there a RENT button next to a title?

    If the RENT button does not appear next to a title, this means that the title is currently reserved or rented by another member. When a copy of that title is checked back in, the RENT button with appear once again.

    You may choose to be notified when a title is available for rental by clicking the WISH button. This will add the selection to your Wishlist. Once a copy of that title is checked back in, you will be notified via email that the title is now available for rental. Simply log in to the website and make your reservation.

    What is the Wish List?

    The Wish List is a personalized list of titles you are interested in, either to purchase or rent. Any title can be placed on your list by clicking on the purple WISH button under the desired title. The title will remain on your list until it is rented, purchased or removed by you.

    What is the WISH button?

    The WISH button places a title onto your Wish List. Once you have clicked the WISH button, your name will be entered into a que for that title. Wishes are recorded in the ordered received. You will be notified based on the order in which your "wish" was received. (For example, if you clicked on the WISH button on Monday and another member clicked the WISH button on Tuesday, you would be the first person notified when the title is available.)

    Please note: You will only be notified that a title from your wish list is available once. If you receive notification but choose not to rent at that time, you will not receive a second notice. The title will remain on your list until it is rented, purchased or removed by you.

    Why was my reservation cancelled?

    To insure that all members have an adequate opportunity to rent or purchase DVD's, reservations are cancelled at the end of each day. We cancel reservation 30 - 60 minutes after the store closes. You will receive notice that your reservation has been cancelled via email.

    How can I change my email address?

    You can either email us requesting the change or you can create a new membership ID with your new email address. If you choose to email us, either click on the "Email Us" link located on the web site under the "Getting Started" section or send an email request to Support@DVDtoRENT.com.

    I have been relocated to another building that has a DVDtoRENT.com site. How can I change my rental location?

    Log in under your membership ID. You will find "My Account" located on the top blue menu bar. You can make any changes to your membership in this screen, including your rental location.

    Please note: DVD's need to be returned to the same location from which they were rented.

    How much do previously viewed DVD's cost?

    Typically previously viewed DVD's are $8.00 to $12.00 depending on how long the title has been released to home video.

    How many DVD's do you carry?

    We carry the top 150-200 titles of the past year. This number varies by the location and site population. Weekly, your site will receive 2-5 new release titles.

    How many copies of a title do you carry?

    We will have 3-9 copies of the most popular titles for a month.

    What if my DVD rental is defective?

    Please let the store know when you return the DVD that it did not play. The store will then determine if a defective credit is due on your next rental.

    Do I pay sales/use tax on my rental or purchase?

    Video Rental transactions are subject to State Sales and Use Tax laws.

    Can I purchase previously viewed DVD titles from you?

    Yes, a green "BUY" button will be displayed under a title to indicate that the DVD is available for purchase. Click on the "BUY" button to add it to your reservation. Pick-up both your purchased and rented DVDs from the store.
